image1

Donald Trump Jr. announced on 22 March that he is launching a news aggregation app. The app is called MxM News (Minute by Minute News). The aim of the app is to compete against liberal news sources.

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted, "Tired of the monopoly that Apple News and Big Tech has over your news? Download my new app right now for free. Mainstream News without Mainstream Bias right from your iPhone!"

Former President Donald Trump's former staffers are working on the app. Cliff Sims, who is a former adviser to President Trump and the CEO of a Birmingham-based advertisement agency, Telegraph Creative is working alongside on the project.

MxM will be presenting quality content from multiple news publishers, and it won't be creating original stories.

The aim of MxM is to revolutionize the mobile news industry and create an impact that once Drudge Report created. Americans feel that there is a lack of resources to vouch for honest news, and MxM is set to fill this void.

Drudge Report used to be the biggest news traffic distributor in America. However, it has seen a sharp decline in the number of visitors, especially from 2018 to 2021, there was a decline of 57% visitors.

MxM is looking to grab the opportunity and emerge in the sphere.

Will be Available on Apple and Google Store

MxM News will be available at launch on Google and Apple Play stores and is compatible with phones and tablets. MxM is founded by Donald Trump Jr. and the 45th president's former spokesperson Taylor Budowich. The tagline of MxM is "mainstream news without mainstream bias." Trump Jr. further said The news app was created to "Help people cut through the clutter and get trustworthy news and information about topics that matter and impact their lives." "As I travel around the country, the complaint I hear more than almost anything else is that people don't know what media outlets, journalists, or stories they can actually trust," said Donald Trump Jr.

Financing Round

The company raised a "friends and family" financing round. However, no foreign or institutional investments were made. The plan is to build an initial user base and raise Series A in the upcoming months.

Conservative personalities like Trump Jr. have a wide online reach, and the company plans to leverage that. After building the user base, the company plans to roll out paid marketing.

Although the tagline of the company is "mainstream news without mainstream bias," founders expect early adoption from mainstream news viewers. The company hopes for a broad appeal from the audience who want an alternative to Apple and Google News.

"We created the MxM News app to help people cut through that clutter and get trustworthy news and information about topics that matter and impact their lives,"
